Simple Wooden Easel

I was really disappointed that paintings could not be placed on this easel; could there be a way to be able to make it where you can place a painting on it?

This is not likely to happen, or at least not anytime in the near future as this is a very ancient art item that was sitting unused. Thankfully, most decorators will be able to figure out how to use a floor or wall tile and adjust/tilt/etc. enough that that can mimic the angle of the easel, plop the painting on the tile, remove the tile and replace it with the easel.

(I know, that's not the same as being able to just plop a painting directly on there, but at least there ARE options.)
