Silver membership was something in the past where you could buy 500 Daybreak Cash and then you got a bit more freedom while still being free-to-play. Eg you got (and still have) more character slots. See
https://eq2.fandom.com/wiki/Free-To-Play for a bit more details.
The XP/AA Slider is fixed for Free-to-Play players, you can change it if you make a subscription.
The adornments were probably popped out due to some change they made during your offline time. You can also buy an ability "Adornment Reclamation" from your class trainers, which allows to remove adornments form an item without destroying them.
I'm not sure what skill you may have gotten, but you should see it in your ability book. The last one in there should be it
The Free-to-Play currently allows you to play up to Level 110. You can have a look here at what options you have:
https://eq2.fandom.com/wiki/Soloing_Timeline. With lvl95, the "Altar of Malice" quests (
https://eq2.fandom.com/wiki/Shattered_Seas_Timeline) would bring you to level to 100, afterwards its Planes of Prophecy.
If you want to play the latest, you can also buy the latest expansion "Ballads of Zimara" which has the max level raised to 130. It comes with a character boost to lvl125 for one character. You still can play that for free if you want with the regular Free-to-Play restrictions.
If you want to play the game more seriously, you will have to make a subscription. That's called Daybreak All Access and allows you to play EverQuest 1 & 2 and some other games. You also get some ingame benefits like double coins and monthly 500 Daybreak Cash. And of course no Free-to-Play restrictions anymore.
