For Beta server went to patch and I get this error:

I have this same error - no information on resolution?
**update** It acted as if I had another instance of everquest2.exe running, and the file was 'locked' - I couldn't see it running in task manager or minimized in the tool bar - I ended up rebooting and now it's all working fine.

Yeah rebooting worked. Glad this is a new laptop, because my old laptop would go into a 2-3 hour cycle trying to update, couldn't update undoing changes then right back into the update. Found the error with game launcher was also a problem reported in the old forums and the reboot the computer was the fix.
