Maybe potency/fervor/whatever debuffs are an exception to this? But it strongly seemed to suggest they don't want any percentage-based mods and everything should just be updating values to be relevant by our current stats

He changed some of the Dirge's to be that way. It's the only reason I'm bringing it up.

I may be missing something or oversimplifying here, but seems to me if they were to change all these out-dated static number debuffs to percentages, say 5% as an example, they would never have to go through and revise all those abilities every expac.

The 5% does not grow with level increases. The increase in amount debuffed comes from the natural increases in mob stats as they level so the effect of the ability on the mob remains constant.

For AA where you can spend multiple points in an ability, each point raises the percent. Spell tier upgrades do the same for profession/ascension spells.

It's funny to see all the down votes on the four debuff threads lol. Just goes to show you how everyone is thinking and devs were told before they even put these up. Almost every single thread on every class (almost) says the same things essentially.. buff my dps....those four debuffs aren't even used because their garbage, but could be made good, but everyone wants DPS, DPS, DPS lol. Good luck with these things. I hope that those that are actually asking for workable things get them, but I doubt because we all say we want DPS, that it will happen.
