Feedback what size avatars ?

I've tried several sizes of banners/avatars. None show up. What size should they be ?

The largest avatar size is 384px square. (although you cannot upload your own avatar, you can only use the ones available)

The profile banner is 1178px by 250px.

They are within the range of acceptable size, yes.
