What is now in place of the Dead Hills?

Does anyone know what the Dead Hills in EQ2 are now, what kind of zone is it?
I read the discussion thread on the forum dedicated to the topic of Dead Hills, but I did not find any information about their current location. (https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq2/index.php?threads/the-dead-hills-story.531542/)

From the in-game book about The Pagoda of Tal'Thex (which was located just in the Dead Hills) I concluded that the pagoda is probably The Obelisk of Lost Souls. Is that true?

Thanks.

The Dead Hills have never actually been visualized anywhere in EQ2, and although they are alluded to in a lore book in Renewal of Ro pertaining to a Takish'Hiz geomancer.

In EverQuest 1, the zone wasn't added into the game until 2014's "Call of the Forsaken" expansion. On the original EQ map of Norrath, the Dead Hills were shown not far from Innothule Swamp and the Feerrott. In EQ, you can travel to the Dead Hills by traveling to the Gulf of Gunthak, then from Dulak's Harbor. In other words, lots of boat travel to reach a secluded section of the Antonica continent. Other than the backstory about the ancient kingdom of Xulous that would eventually give rise to Bertoxxulous and his 12 Kings, there's not much more to be said about it.

In terms of EQ2, the Dead Hills would be located somewhere nearby the Feerrott and Moors of Ykesha. It's worth mentioning that despite how the global map looks in the game, the Far Seas Trading Company intentionally keeps landmasses hidden away from adventurers until such time that there is a valid reason to travel there -- some rising problem that cannot be ignored unless it becomes much worse, or if something reveals the location to the world outside of their own control.

As for the Obelisk of Lost Souls... Well, there's a physical anchor to it inside the Feerrott, but actually inside the zone itself, there's no indication of exactly "where" it could be physically located in Norrath.

There was a small, easily-missed mention of the Dead Hills in dialogue for the prelude event for Sentinel's Fate:

Player: Do you know anything about this Kyle Bayle?
Antonia: Not much. I know he lived in the Age of Turmoil, and founded the colony of New Qeynos, where he reigned as king for a time. But his kingdom was ultimately destroyed and the land was absorbed back into the Dead Hills, a place that was lost during the rending.
