Returning player with boosted Inquisitor...help

Hello all,

I have been away from the game for the past 10 years and recently came back to the game a few months ago. I originally started playing the game when it launched and played for about 7 years straight then took a break for a few years and came back then left again for the past 10 years.

So much has changed since I last played 10 years ago, I'm still trying to re-learn the game. I have meet a lot of very helpful people in game who have taken the time to answer a lot of my questions but I thought maybe I'd come here to get more detailed advice. So far I have four toon at level 130, two at level 125, three toons as level 94 and two new toons to test out. Most of these toons I've had since the game launched but like I said above I have not played them in 10 years or so.

I recently boosted my Inquisitor from the 50's to level 125 and have started tryin to re-learn the class. After reading through the forums here it appears I might have made a mistake with choosing this toon to boost lol but I figure it's worth coming here and asking for feedback and advice to help me play this toon to the best of it's ability.

I already have a 130 Warden, which I love to play but thought it would be nice to level up a plate healer to have options when it comes to groups and what not.

1) Can anyone give me the break down on the most important stats to focus on with regards to the Inquisitor (to me it seems like re-cast speed is important with this toon).

2) Can anyone give me a cast order even a basic one to get me started.
sure seems like this toon has limited heals and is focused more on de-buff / buffs or a small amount of attacks (not sure I've even noticed any AOE attacks for this toon) (or did I miss something when setting my hotbars back up after boosting the toon?)

3) What does this class specialize at? Why would someone want this healer in their group over other healers?

4) Are there any specialty spells I have to go and hunt down, quest for or buy?

Any other advice would be very welcomed to help me enjoy this class.

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

2. For solo? No cast order really, I usually start out with smite heretic (alt AA for heresy (reactive DOT)), then unload all CA's (7, if my count is correct). For group or raid? see 3.
As for damage AoE, we have a few: 1 encounter spell (litany) and 1 AoE CA's (inquisitor AA, litany circle) (shared timer), Divine Demonstration (encounter) (cleric AA), Heresy and Smite Heretic (alt AA for Heresy, shared timer) (encounter), Heretic Doom (encounter)

3. Inquisitors are a jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none, they can do a little of everything. They are really good for solo-play, they just keep on going, no problems with power or health (just heal up if needed) and they can take a hit or 1000s. Once, they did have a spot in grp/raid, mainly due to the auto-attack buffs they bring, now? Auto-attack is all but dead.
Inquistors can bring alot to a group, in order to fill some spots, besides the buffs. They have 4 crowdcontroll spells (reduce range of aggro, makes enemy (solo) non-hostile)(stun and reduces hate in AE)(scare and mez, reduces hate, can break on damage)(root and stifle, can break on damage)
With AA enhancement their inquest (powerdrain and powerfeed) becomes group and if not placed on inquis gets an additional proc. IF specced properly they can do fairly decent (for healer) damage too. They can function as pure spellcasters, melee or a hybrid between those 2. (although they are at their best as melee or a hybrid). Basicly, that is their specialization. Generalists. The only thing inqusitors dont have is a taunt (if they had, they would be better pally/sk than.. well, pally/sk) :)

4. Verdict, imo a very nice spell. Debuffs a target and when falls under a certain threshold, set their hp to 1. A few raids bosses has experienced this from me. The epic spells you really wants.

edit: forgot a encounter spell :).

Honestly I think inquis and channeler are the two best solo classes in the game. They both do a little bit of everything.

Watch out though, AoE's and "vs encounter spells" are completely different stuff. One touches a zone, the other, one targeted linked group of mob, at best. "vs Encounter" is way less powerful in comparison.
Thus we inquis actually have a -single- AOE, litany circle. Could use a second for sure.

well, to be honest, I prefer encounter over AoE's. You dont risk aggroing everthing and their sink when using encounter compared to AoE that will aggro/hit everything within range. Can make you get in over your head, even as inquis.
