Suggestion Out of Era Vendor Items Available

Level 50 cure potions and poisons are available on merchants. These historically shouldn't be available until DoF launches. You can even tell by the name of one the items, that it was named as part of DoF. These items should be removed until DoF launches as it removes over half of the point of being an alchemist when vendor pots and poisons are as good as or better than Master Crafted T5.

Regardless of the effect on alchemist, I think this should be changed. I'd consider these poisons and cure pots on the vendors as part of the Desert of Flames expansion, so they should be removed.

They have already trampled over crafters with some of the choices made with the marketplace items.... so just keep it up.

Technically they are not out of era... as the code base is KOS.

Again people are okay putting down crafters for their sake ala bags... but if it goes into your profession it is suddenly an issue.

Yes the code base is KoS. So where is the Maj'Dul carpet in QH or EFP? That existed in KoS.
The carpet was explicitly removed for the server to make it feel more in era for Shattered Lands even if it is 2006 KoS code.

These items are clearly DoF items, and should not be available during the time we are locked to the Shattered Lands. This will continue to be an issue each expansion at this rate.

I get market place bags are an issue for low level tailors. No one is putting them down or telling them to suck it up. The high level crafted bags are better than the marketplace bags so it gets better for them at least.

HC arrows and ammunition is better than vendor bought ammunition.
HC Food and Drink are better than vendor bought provisions.
Why is alchemist the only crafting profession that can make consumes that are worse than what you can buy from an NPC? It has been marginally made better for poisons by change the proc % such that caustic I think wins now in terms of raw DPS, but I'd bet it's close.

This is not a bug, these items are in era for the server timeperiod.

Things like the carpets were hidden as a polish point, not a bug, as they also existed in the timeperiod. The difference is the carpets were an attainable change in a reasonable amount of time. There are approximately 1100 merchantlists in the game in 2006 that were changed between 2004 and 2006, each of them needs to be individually appraised for what needs to be pulled out of them, and a new era predicated list with those changes made. It's a task on my feedback and polish list, but the task will take several days at a minimum to accomplish, possibly more, which means it will not take precedence over a lot of more pressing or tasks with just a better time investment to return ratio.

Obviously I don't know what your backend code base looks like, but is it not possible to filter level 50 vendor items to not appear / non-purchasable until DoF releases?

It's just hard as a player to determine what should be in the game for 2006 and what shouldn't given the weird combination of Time Locked Expansions and Origins.

Should kickstarter some funds for an intern. I'm sure they are still plenty of college students who think they want to get in to game dev. :D

There's literally one guy doing all the work for this server. If the worst thing you've found is possibly DoF stuff on the store, then I think he's doing pretty well and we should call that a win.
