New Warlock- Advice Please

I recently made a new Warlock alt, level 23 now. Any advice/tips on mercenaries, food/potions, gear, and a general leveling AA setup would be appreciated. Also, which familiar should I use for mainly solo leveling (gargoyle, tome, or drake)? Evil-aligned Half-Elf and running around with Infected Shadowbeast familiar. TYIA

Get the best healer merc you can find - at least a fabled if you can get it - get the latest and greatest familiar you can - I personally used Klorn V'luuron (spelling? ) merc till I hit the last expansion- maxed out at 20, he was incredible - got him in AoM - shows you how long I used him lol - he was a fabled defiler/ warrior
