Need help defeating Verliax in Solusek Ro's Tower: Obsidian Core [Solo]

I'm in Solusek's Ro's Tower: The Obsidian Core [Solo]. I am stuck on level 4 and do not understand the logic behind how to kill Verliax. I hit her, then follow her into the next room where a mirage appears. I kill the mirage, then no matter which brazier I click on, I always die. I've died at least 12 times. Broke all my equipment and had to go back to repair. There is nothing on wiki about her. And, after I follow her once and get to the next room and kill the mirage, how do I know what brazier to select ? The mirage dies, so there is no following anything, and clicking on the brazier that took me to that room kills me. So it has to be a different brazier, but how am I supposed to know that? Is this part of the quest broken?

The only way I have been able to handle her is:

1) watch very carefully, there is a message on the screen that tells you where the mirages go.
2) have a chat window open that you can put the direction in i.e. N W S E. Or if you're quick enough a notepaper where you can jot it down (I'm old and slow so the window works best for me), make sure you note them all before you start following them.
3) follow the path (it's been a while I'm not 100% sure you need to kill the mirage; I want to say you don't have to) a big flame like round thing appears that zones you back to her.
4) repeat until you've killed her off.

Note there is also a bottom and top brazier. Take care with your map to be sure you are going to the correct one. SE, NW etc. you might want to use L (left) R (right) B (back) Bo (bottom) T (top).

OK, I reran it.

She appears you start the fight. She backs to the door and tells you to follow the pattern, or you will die. On your screen she tells you where each mirage goes as they shoot out of her. NOTE where they go top, bottom, left, right, or back. Click proper brazier to follow. You will then go back to where she is, wait for her to come back and give her a few whacks. She repeats her threat. Follow the new pattern and repeat until she is dead. Couple of notes: if you take too long you die and if a mirage appears you didn't do the pattern correctly and will die.
