merc gear questions

my armorer can make forlorn merc gear, and I am trying to get the ability to make gear for the new scars expansion, so i have two questions.

1. what classes can make merc gear?
2. how do I get access to the merc gear recipes for vet, ro, and especially scars?

Mercenary armor is made by armorers. I think mercenary accolades are made by jewelers. For both classes, the recipes are usually available in the standard handcrafted recipe books for the expansion. For the seven armor slots, mercs can also wear player gear, and usually the player gear is better anyway.

And research for the Master-crafted armorer and jeweler. But that said, just use the armor dropped in the solo zones. Lord knows we get plenty running them. Master Crafted armor is only 485 anyway, We get 495-505 doing the solo and sigline quests.

Unfortunately crafted gear is useless for both players and mercs.

Give your merc the gear from the crate to begin with. Then upgrade it with loots from solo/heroics.

You will want to give you merc armors with "crit bonus overcap" as it will benefit from it. Only use for those armors for the moment except a few p2w players.

For bardings you will want a mix of cast speed and reuse speed to get to 100% (3 of each).

This is good news! We just finished the scars sig question line and have a lot of extra heirloom armor to either give to alts or transmute. I is so lovely that we can use it for mercs!
