Here are the items which will be cycling into the Marketplace today.* Reminder, there is a category in the Marketplace titled Vault at the bottom of the list. This will house the items which are being cycled out of the vault on the 1st and 15th of the month! This category will not include event items.

*Origins Servers are not included in the cyclical vaulting/unvaulting on the 1st and 15th of the month.

Agree. I'm not a huge fan either. It's basically preying on people using FOMO. Same thing that Disney used to do with their DVDs. OH NO! it's going into the Vault. Who knows when it will be available again. Better buy it now or you might never be able to. It's just another greedy cheap tactic like many of DBG recent ideas.

I have to agree. I have a business background and I know what you are going for but the truth is that it is not working. You are trying to create this idea of gotta collect them all before time runs out, but this only really works on impulsive people which is a small portion of the player base. You have lost out on tons of money by not having items always available. There are things I would buy right now, but they are not on the marketplace and by the time they end up on the market place again I will have given up looking for them.

I have to agree. I have a business background and I know what you are going for but the truth is that it is not working. You are trying to create this idea of gotta collect them all before time runs out, but this only really works on impulsive people which is a small portion of the player base. You have lost out on tons of money by not having items always available. There are things I would buy right now, but they are not on the marketplace and by the time they end up on the market place again I will have given up looking for them.

It probably works beautifully on teenagers playing Fortnite. Well, this ain't Fortnite, and we're not teenagers; the grand majority of us are at least post college age, if not older.

As someone who actively decorates and would be a regular marketplace customer, the vaulting system has actually reduced my spending to near-zero. When I'm mid-project and need a specific item, I can't wait months for an un-vaulting event that has the item I want. Instead of impulse-buying items when inspiration strikes, I've adapted by exclusively using craftable alternatives and figuring out ways to make something similar to what I would have bought.

You are essentially training us to work around the marketplace entirely, which means you lose out on our impulse buying.

I was looking for Nights of the Dead stuff, for example, even before this announcement, and didn't find a THING I was looking for, mainly because what I needed would've been Player Studio items. X-P

I am also not a fan. There are some stellar mounts and house items no longer available, which I'd gladly purchase again. Since the good looking mounts are no longer available, I now switch the ones I like to the alts I am currently playing.

IMHO, the Freeport Guardian Pegasus is the best looking mount in the game.

Agreed! There are several Player Studio items I love and would purchase again, but cannot get them. Sadly, I am thinking of tearing apart one of the homes I used to have on Leaderboards, simply to scavenge some of said items.

Decorating is huge in eq2 and this "vault" idea suks, to be honest. When we need an item that is not stackable or not makeable buy a crafter, we need it then, not in whatever month it is decided it could be purchased. Tradeskillers spend a lot of real life money for the opportunity to purchase this stuff, often overprice but still needed so we suffer through that. They will not start a deco project and put it off until you decide to put it on the vault again. Please change this and list these items as they used to be. Any change of thinking on the minds of whoever is in charge of this part of the game, would be appreciated.

I agree... I also dislike marketplace changes ... I don't like the idea to buy on impulse and I don't want to keep bags full of stuff I will probably never use....

Agree with everyone here...and I don't decorate at all. If the end goal is to make money, don't shortchange yourself and irritate your player base at the same time. If you want our money, make it all available all the time and watch the cash flow in. Right now, your business model points towards wanting to go out of business.

I honestly believe their end goal is to shut it down. They just don't want to seem like they wished to do so, so they have made some decisions that will anger subscribers and drive them away. That way, when they do shut down they can claim it is due to not enough cash flow to keep things going.
Just remember this when/if an EQ3 comes along. Especially if games like Pantheon come out hopefully there will never be a reason to even look at DBG anymore.
They came out with that beautiful Hex House that folk are loving, for example... and there have been lots of comments about 'x' furniture, or 'y' whatever would go beautifully with it. Do they bother to make these items available on the marketplace so folk can deck out their homes (therefore making DBG more money)... NO.

Yes, I have to agree. I want something but by the time it becomes available I will lose interest or replace it with something else which I didn't want hence I am not a happy customer because I didn't get what I wanted when I wanted it.
