Just started the patcher for beta for no reason

Yes, but you may well be getting the previous GU beta that just ended testing at this point.
Assuming the worst and it requires me to patch the full game again tomorrow, this could put a damper on plans to get in right away. Thankfully my download speed is wicked fast.

As Siren said, until they change the beta server over to the new Origins build, it is more likely that you are downloading the prior beta build, which is likely from the live servers. It should not impede you from getting into tomorrows beta at all, but you will likely have to go through the same initial download the rest of us do, which could cause problems of its own.

This was the character select screen last night.

The Beta server and Live servers have certain game resources that are shared between them, so even if the Beta changes tomorrow from what it is right now, it's still worth downloading it in advance. Alternatively, you can copy-paste all files and folders in your EQ2 directory into a sub-folder named "BetaServer" to avoid having to download the base files again, then let the Beta launcher patch those files afterward.
