Help to Announce the Passing of Tsumaranai

Hi Decorators:

My wife was a long time decorator and love her community. She passed away nearly seven weeks ago suddenly. She always told me that she wanted me to let you know if she passed. I'm trying to figure out what name you knew her by and to find some old tours of her house that were made and posted on YouTube. Maybe she went by Tsumaranai. She had a few different characters. I think she always stayed on the original server (or original U.S. one).
I'm sorry I'm offering you all so little to go on. I'll see what other information I can find and add to this thread.

Best wishes,

- R

I remember Tsumaranai. For a few years she would frequently invite me to see the Freeport home she was working on. (We played on different servers, but admired each others' work.) She was an amazing decorator and a very lovely, friendly person. I am so sorry to hear of her passing, and my thoughts are with you and her friends and family.

I never got a chance to video tour her work, as she spent years perfecting that Freeport house, and I'm not sure she ever really 100% "completed it" as she was always adding new items or changing various parts of it. (I just logged onto her server to check, and sadly the home was never published, and it appears she was still working on it as the last line in the book she placed near the door says "This book like this house is a work in progress..." 😭

However it appears she left public access to the home set to "Visitor" so anyone wishing to stop by and see her amazing work, will still be able to. (Even if we can't give it all the many, many votes it deserves.)

You can find it at 1 Compassion Rd, North Freeport, on the Antonia Bayle server, under Tsumaranai.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I pray that you have found peace since her passing. And thank you so much for letting us know about this.

Tsumaranai was one of the most influential artists on me. Her work, the way she would use the items, how she would "sculpt" an object using items no one else would think of using, it's amazing. She once gave me a personal tour of her Freeport home and it actually took my breath away. I am so sad to hear of her passing :(

I'm so very sory to hear about Tsumaranai's passing. She constructed beautiful works with her incredible creativity. I remember her talking about her love of visiting the Metropolitan Museum and loved how she used real images for inspiration in her game builds. Her attention to detail was always impressive. She will be greatly missed and always remembered with love <3

Condolences on your loss.

If you have access to her EQ2 game account(s) this will give you a list of her alts and then it would be possible to find listings of her homes. Any that were premium will always remain available for viewing as long as the public access is set to visitor. Other homes, if there are owner placed 'treasure chests' which take a percentage off of coin cost will also help keep those houses available for viewing. A note on these I have seen where EQ2 has removed the need for rent payments if a chest has been placed, and some of the larger houses might also be 'free' now as well. If someone could please clarify how this is working? As well these homes need to be set to public.

What a lovely way to keep your wife's passion and memory alive by allowing her work to be viewed.

It will remain as long as her account is active and if you lapse, it will still be there when you come back.

Thanks for the reassurance. I'll keep the account in good standing.

I should have access. We each had an account and she used both. I'll certainly keep the accounts in good standing indefinitely. If I need help, I will ask again here.

If you all would be interested, I would be happy share some pictures and a video from a decorating project "Tsu" completed in our home in Manhattan recently and of which she was very proud.

Thank you all. Best wises,

- R
