for what it's worth: I saw someone on wiki noted it spawns after 9PM game time ( do /time command to see current time, and it varies by zone or even within the zone) so I sat there last night waiting for it. It spawned at 10:53PM. I sat by him a full Norrath day trying to see when he will despawn, he did not after 12 hours, nor after 24 hours, I finally gave up. Unsure of the timer at this point. But spawning at nighttime seemed true.
I sat by him unmarked if it matters, nobody came despite me announcing his up for marking.

I don't understand. I'm standing on top of a rock, at the coordinates listed on Wikipedia. Like the thread's author, I've been standing there for over an hour of Earth time (meaning at least two Norrathic time cycles have passed), but there's no body. Either I'm standing in the wrong place, or are there some other conditions required? A quest?

this is most likely spawn based on real time, not Norrath time, as for conditions I usually try to have all repeatables for the zone in my journal.
With some markables it matters if you are on some specific repeatable at the time, on most it does not matter.

I don't get it again.
Wikipedia talks about Norrath time
"May only be visible after 6:00pm Norrath time"

and you also wrote about Norrath time
"I saw someone on wiki noted it spawns after 9PM game time ( do /time command to see current time, and it varies by zone or even within the zone) so I sat there last night waiting for it. It spawned at 10:53PM."

And do you have to catch the body in real time? And what time zone?

Wikipedia is written by players. The word "may" is the keyword in that statement.

For the record a full 24 hour Norrath day/night cycle is 72 minutes real time.

Norrath time being unreliable might also depend on where in Norrath you check /time, as even within the same zone, checked by multiple people, it may show totally different time and even date. BUT let's say spawn is coded to only spawn when /time shows PM, this will have to be checked at the spawn spot ( for reasons I just said), it is also coded so it will not spawn every Norrath afternoon or night, it might be coded so it spawns once every Norrath week, or once every 3 Norrath days.

Without input from a dev who coded this we can only test and experiment and maybe eventually come to a conclusion that is reliable.

I'm pretty positive they would not code this type of encounter so it only spawns in a specific time that would be unavailable to half the Earth time zones. I think the spawns are staggered and spaced in a way that eventually everybody around Earth can have a chance to catch him up and unmarked.

The time is messed up as it appears different for each person (bug ticket in for it), but myself and my daughter have been trying to find this and killed kyv for weeks. Been in Yon Gorrath 2 by ourselves for hours and hours or #1 zone. At this point frustration has set in and we gave up.

I work from home so I parked my toon there for literally hours and nothing. Add that up to trying multiple days to weeks and its just not worth it at this point.
