Getting started on Kael Drakkel

If you're interested in playing on the server, or you're interested in Legend Hunting quests to earn the Spirit of Drakkel green adornment, I've written an article that can help players get started there. This is a specialty server type with a unique ruleset, so while the content will be familiar to returning players, the gameplay experience is very different.

Kael Drakkel Server

The information I've included there follows along two tracks. One is for those players who are really only interested in completing the quests and earning the account unlock for the adornment that allows you to purchase it on other servers, including PvE TLE servers. The other track is for players who are interested in playing there more long-term.

They got some real pushback for "requiring" players to create characters there and complete those eight quests. There's a lot of interesting things they could do with KD, but to justify anything else with the server they'd need to see an active population on it. And for that, I think they'd need to make it accessible to free-to-play members.

I started on there recently and found a guild, which was surprising. We've been doing content and having a blast! In my limited experience, KD is a lot more interactive than Live. I wish I could transfer my gear from Live to KD (more the money and bags, as it is right now I won't log back in and play on Live for the foreseeable future).

It's been an enjoyable experience.

My guild is only 3 people.. hehe.. when folks come over and ask for a guild i point them to Silent Honor.. Ksharn the GL is an awesome dude and he and Arandar & I colab on helping folks and a few others like Storm etc that tend to help when we can in our quieter than normal chat. On KD its more of a family feel with folks just helping when they can, wether its answering questions or pointin peeps to where answers can be found (like Arandars Most excellent writeup for the Wiki for example). Like i said chat is usually pretty quiet but alot of us are lurking when we can to help.
