EverQuest II Roadmap 2025

Was hoping for something different this year, like in-game optimizations, engine enhancements etc. Not a carbon copy of last year.

So you give up with PvP?
There was a survey a long ago and I've wasted some time on it for what? 😼

don't get me wrong, I very much appreciate that we had a whole month of all collectables to get the collections that we missed,
but I spend all my time getting the collections for all my toons that I missed the chance to use the doubloons.
The merchants in Freeport and Qeynos are still up, but they only sell what we had last year in January, and that is blocked too, even says it's bugged.

Roadmap needs a little bit more.....

I wanted to provide some feedback on the current roadmap. Last year, the focus was primarily on the anniversary celebration (Year of DarkPaw), with limited progress in other areas. Specifically, there were no unlocks or improvements for Time-Locked Expansions (TLEs), no bug fixes, and no updates to the user interface.

This year, the emphasis appears to be on TLE unlocks and raid unlocks. In my opinion, the roadmap should concentrate on game improvements rather than including regular calendar events. It is encouraging to see that Origins and Varsoon are receiving unlocks beyond the initially discussed expansions. However, I believe that TLEs have always been a strategy to boost subscriptions, rather than offering substantial content, which has been acknowledged by the team.

I am pleased that the decision was made not to launch a new TLE server but to focus on the current ones instead. Nonetheless, only allowing one month for beta testing seems rushed.

Thank you for considering my input. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to the continued development of the game.

Thanks for listening to my 2cents, and now I return you to your regular scrolling.;)

tldr tle schedule and raid unlocks thats entire 2025 very sad to see nothing new or interesting to look forward to and don't say the gu cause thats moot point when we have 0 info on either one and miruguls was kinda a hated thing among alot of people. I like the idea of keeping secrets and building hype for cool stuff but we need something to begin with not just "oh we are excited for this year and we got big plans" doesn't keep people around or their interest when theres nothing to ponder or speculate or even get hyped for

I think its great we are going past KOS which was what you originally promised on Anushti Sul but to be honest I think 4 months is way too fast. We all came to Anushti to have a slower experience than the other TLE's. I'd much rather see a six month interval than 4 months!

I disagree. I only play on weekends and I hit lvl 50 a couple of weeks ago. Mostly by questing and occasional groups. That was what? 4 months ago when the server launched? 4 months is just about right it looks like.

1. Fantastic to see that Origins/Anashti Sul will be getting EoF. I expect that most would love to see it eventually get to RoK if its possible. Thank you so much for making this possible.
2. I also "echo" (see what I did there) the sentiment of not wanting to rush through the xpacs at quite the proposed pace. I'm playing in a friends group of 7, we're playing between 1 and 2 full evening group sessions each week and our first characters are only just hitting 50 now. We didn't just sit in Fallen Gate for 10 levels, we didn't skip content, we've done a load of HQs and we're not a crazy auto-follow bot group. I think we're reasonably average consumers.

I would agree with those who've said "6 months not 4" between KoS and EoF. Personally, for what it is worth I would ask
  • 1 extra month in Vanilla
  • maybe one extra month in DoF (general sentiment among my friends seems to be this is the one that doesn't need to hang around too long )
  • At least 2 months extra in Kingdom of sky. This is a great expansion. I would hate to feel I had to grind out my main to 70 just to get to experience the later game of this xpac and still not get to alts.
  • Generally at least 6 months for the xpacs that might follow that.
Super excited to see that EoF is on the cards though, just, let's pace it right, because, as you say The journey is half the fun.

Ok, I tried to searched for it quickly, but I believe they actually said that it would only be up to Kingdom of Sky/Echo of Faydwer; UNLESS it had the population that fit for it, then maybe would get discussed on passing those xpacs.

As it is right now; many players don't see it. I mean there is still bugs in quests/collections/mechanics that STILL haven't been fixed yet. Botting being one of those.

What I would like to see is a definite schedule for the release of all (or a goodly chunk) of the Marketplace items they took from us, and to give us more than 2-3 days to go "shopping"...and planning. :-/

Uwk
It doesn't cost them any thing to leave all of the items up there all of the time. I understand that it is a marketing ploy. Scare people by telling them you are taking every thing away and then later say you can buy said items, but only within these 2 to 3 days.

I am sorry, but that alone prevents me from wanting to ever buy any thing ever again. I know they are trying to remain profitable, but that is a lame way to do it. It's a horrible way to treat your loyal decorating community imo.
