Ascension for a channeler

I’m currently a thaumaturge because I had no clue what else to put it in. Is there a specific ascension for channelers? I should have asked a long time ago, but I was lazy. Can I continue with thaum, or go to some other one?

As an inquisitor I like Geomancer for the additional group ward it gives me and a bit of melee buffs and debuffs. But it really does not matter for a channeler I guess, the class is very self sufficient.

To be completely honest the only ascension I find remotely useful is the etherialist (I think), the one that has the lovely fill mana and hurt mob spell, very useful in those long fights or the ones that the first thing the mob does is drain all your power.
