Anashti Sul, get ready for a Beta Test!

Expansion Beta goes up until expansion release, how would they turn back on Beta for Anashti?
Cut that beta short by 2 weeks! You can double our beta time and barely cut into Live's. This will also allow us to see what *remains* to be fixed several months after our initial testing and reports.

They had a working schedule for the Anashti unlocks but you guys petitioned to have KoS last longer thusly pushing back the EoF beta to happening at the same time as the expansion Beta.
See Marcmann's message. The EOF beta was already scheduled for the end of September. That also didn't prevent them from running a Fallen Dynasty beta separate from the EOF beta, which was an active (and bad) decision not to do.

I know, I know, KoS still isn't working the way you want it to. EoF isn't going to be bug free and working right out of the gates either.

"Working the way you want it to" is doing some serious lifting here. This is not personal preference. KOS introduced a single primary mechanic: Player crit chance. In *six months*, that still hasn't been fixed. EOF completely overhauls player stats. 2 weeks isn't enough time to test a sixteenth of that, and *any of it being broken* can ruin the expac, and the server as a whole.

This isn't Varsoon where it's broadcasted as end-of-life and out of support. We're paying customers on a supposedly supported server. Asking it to be treated as such isn't an outrageous request.

Expac pre-orders are set to beta launch dates and that has financial implications.

In a perfect world, Origins would be transitioned to a completely separate development team but I think subs would have to be significantly more expensive. In the meantime, we share and TLE somewhat has to work around pre-established Live development schedules.

LMAO Right, cut short a beta for their yearly bread and butter expansion over one server.

I see it listed as September in the roadmap, but no one knows what date it was scheduled for. It could have been the beginning of September for all we know.

The crit issue seems to not be the 5 minute fix most of us believed it could be otherwise it would have been fixed already. I get what you're saying though, but this beta time issue is still 100% based on the fact that people cried to get KoS longer which put this beta butted up against the expansion beta. The people clamoring for a longer KoS cycle didn't look far enough ahead to what they were going to cause themselves by requesting that schedule alteration. To claim it is anything other than this one thing is disingenuous.

And bug fixes and changes are done on the origins servers. Maybe it's not what you want to see done, but the work is there. Many of us are paying customers as well, like those of us who buy the expansion every year, so why should we have to suffer with a shorter Beta because origins decided they wanted to alter their pre-existing schedule?

This take is insanely self-centered, and obvious rage bait. If the beta was scheduled for the beginning of September, *delaying the expansion* wouldn't change that. Yes, a slightly shorter live beta is an acceptable solution, no matter how hard you want to throw a tantrum over it. Live will still have more than a full month if you chop 2 weeks off of it.

Nobody expected crit to be a 5 minute fix. What?

Live has not always launched expacs immediately following the beta. Neither have TLEs. There's absolutely no reason to argue against treating both servers with the attention they deserve, especially from a financial perspective. Origins has been *extremely* profitable and neglect will prevent that from ever being the case again.

Rage bait because it's the truth? Typical.

Again, why should people who are purchasing the expansion as they do every year have to suffer 2 weeks less of Beta they are used to because Origins had a hissy fit about KoS?

It had nothing to do with the KoS duration, no matter how many times you repeat that. Yes, those people might have to suffer 2 weeks less of their two month beta because they've combined two betas into one for Origins, without extending the duration.
